Slow living, cooking & creating with the seasons in the wilds of Wisconsin

“Are we to look at the cherry blossoms only in full bloom, the moon only when it is cloudless? To long for the moon while looking on the rain, to lower the blinds and be unaware of the passing of the spring - these are even more deeply moving. Branches about to blossom or gardens strewn with faded flowers are worthier of our admiration.”

Hi, I’m Crystal Alma.

Welcome to Blueberry Plum. Here you’ll find a journal of sorts - a space centered around the simple notion of taking time. A space celebrating approachable, everyday rituals and recipes that nourish the soul and offer presence. In such a frenetic world with countless distractions, it’s easy to lose sight of the quiet beauty that exists all around us and which we are capable of cultivating within ourselves. I hope to rediscover and share some of that beauty here, and I hope you’ll join me.
